My iPhone 12 is stuck on SOS in progress and wont respond at all.

My iPhone 12 is locked in SOS mode and i have not been able to turn off. It is saying that my sos call is in progress.

for iphone 12, Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
