Sound not working on Apple TV

I have a Vizio TV and brand new Apple TV. The sound isn't working. If My Vizio has Dolby Audio, should I turn off Auto and switch to Dolby? I don't have a separate speaker setup or anything.

Try each of these audio settings:

  • Settings﹥Video and Audio﹥Audio Format﹥Auto [PCM Multichannel]
  • Settings﹥Video and Audio﹥Audio Format﹥Change Format﹥New Format﹥Dolby Digital 5.1
  • Settings﹥Video and Audio﹥Audio Format﹥Change Format﹥New Format﹥Stereo


Use what works. That’s why it is configurable.
