I keep getting error saying Airdrop failed to save file and asks me to save it on icloud instead. How do I resolve it?

I keep getting error saying Airdrop failed to save file and asks me to save it on icloud instead when I share video that I create using iMovie from mac to iphone. How do I resolve it? There seems to be many threads for this but none of it gives satisfactory resolution.
