iPhone and Apple watch

Hi, I just got a Apple Watch for Christmas and every time I wear it my iPhone will not ring or send me text notifications! What am I doing wrong so I can get my iPhone to ring again with incoming phone or text?

iPhone and apple watch Now that I have an Apple Watch (series 7) and my iPhone 13 pro, my phone doesn’t ring when someone calls, or give sound notifications of texts or messages. Also, the watch only “rings” or shows I’m getting a phone call about half the time. I’m missing most all of my calls and texts/FB messages. Is there anything I can do to fix this? So I can get both devices to give notifications and rings when I get an incoming call.

If I take my watch off iPhone rings and notifications for texts work fine. It needs to be fixed with options. It didn’t work on my iPhone X nor on the 13. All are updated

When I get a call, my Apple Watch rings but not my iPhone when I receive a call my watch rings but my phone does not ring [Re-Titled by Moderator]
