operating system updates

i am trying to update my macbook air to the current update in an attempt to run adobe lightroom. in the app store it shows that my updates are current but i do not have a high enough update to run it. just trying to figure out if i can get the update or if it is going to be worst case scenario and i am going to have to buy a new comuter thanks in advance

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Air model is recent enough, click on Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey. It needs to be at least a 2012 one to run Catalina and the current version of Adobe Lightroom.


They're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list.
