Perhaps your MacBook needs a newer upgrade before it can use the one you want.

If the Mac can go that far.. (Some may only go to Catalina 10.5.7. after High Sierra.)

The Sierra macOS 10.12 is gateway to High Sierra 10.13.6; then there likely is

firmware update included in H.S. ~ With that, to help install even newer OS.
