Safari on iphone

There have been several posts in here recently about business websites reporting that Safari is out of date, even though it isn't. This seems to be a generic statement that comes up when Safari isn't compatible with the site.

If you can't get Safari to work on that website, try a different browser such as Opera, Firefox or Chrome.

Safari is updated when you update iOS.

It can't be updated separately.

Why do you think you need to update it?

I the website portal I’m trying to log into days I need to update my safari version.

my iPhone iOS is updated to 15.2.
