How transfer iPhone video files over 1 GB to Windows PC?

Regular copy of files in PC browsers from iPhone to PC does not work as the connection is lost. Not sure if there first is a format conversion to the normal .MOV format. I have tried many ways. In 2010, an example was to look in the backup for large files, but that does not work. Is there an issue with codecs used. Very frustrating. Using iOs 14.8.

You can use a cloud service such as Dropbox, box.com, google photos, google drive, etc. You can also email them to yourself using Mail Drop→Add an email attachment in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If you are transferring files using Windows Explorer to view the folders on the iPhone that is not a supported means of transfer. It just happens to work, some of the time, but it isn’t how Apple designed iOS to work. Thanks for your quick response! Yes, I had already moved the one file using Google Drive, so it is doable. I am just surprised that when I copy my hundreds of pictures/videos from one folder browser to a second on my PC, everything but the big file works. What would be the limitation? Windows Explorer certainly can move large files on the computer between internal and external drives.
