Upgraded form iPhone 8 to iPhone Pro Max 13. Put old sim card in new phone. All other features of phone text and data work and everything else converted with no issues. The problem is there is no voicemail notification when a voicemail is left. The recent calls show up but no notification. Any clue of what the disconnect is?

Check with your carrier. Voicemail is a carrier feature, and they may need to reset it to show that you have a new device, since you reused the SIM. What happens if you tap on the Voicemail button on the phone. Do you see anything on the screen?
