Have new AirPods and want to make sure they are synced with the Find My device app, but it’s not showing up even tho the AirPods are linked to my iPhone and iPad.

JulieMack1,

I personally believe that your AirPods are not updated. To update them follow the steps bellow. If this fails, continue the thread.

  1. Connect your AirPods to a iPhone running iOS 15.2
  2. Place the AirPods into your ears and play some music for a couple of second
  3. Take your AirPods out and place them in the charging case
  4. Plug in your charging case using a lighting cable
  5. Close your AirPods case and leave your phone next to them
  6. Check Back in 15 Minutes to see if the feature works.

Good Luck,

Adin F
