Upgrade to what?

I have a 2013 macbook pro 15", and a 2013 imac 27".

I'm going to consolidate and get just one new 2022 machine. Mostly used at home for photography. Photoshop is having a problem with graphics and I don't want to change the card or have a bolt on.

Could I use the Imac screen as a big screen off a new MacBook air or Macbook pro?

I have seen something about incompatibilty of new MacBooks with old screens.

And I just can't decide which machine to change to!

using an older iMac as a display requires that you are running High Sierra or older on the iMac AND

that your MacBook Pro was a 2019 model or older, running Catalina or earlier. 2020 and Newer models are not supported. Newer MacOS is not supported.
