Because if many attempts typing the wrong password the iPhone gets disable , plug it in to your windows computer with iTunes and restore it or with a Mac using Finder if that one is a iPhone with home button then set it in recovery mode, turn off the iPhone okuv thd lighting usb cable to the computer and plug the other end to the iPhone holding down home button you will thd iPhone it’s turning in and with the iTunes logo with the cable in the screen so go to iTunes or Mac with Finder and click on restore , everything will be erased and if your friend iPhone did a back up you can retire from the latest backup
