How to turn on Airplay on Macboook and connect with iPad

Hi,

I'm finding the way to turn on airplay on my Macbook to connect and use Ipad as a second display. But I can not connect two devices.

Could you show me please?

Thank you.

AirPlay is turned on for the Mac in System Preferences, Sharing. However, that is not how you use it for a second display, you use Sidecar. See this support document for help with that. Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac - Apple Support
