how to find out what a charge is for on my checking account

I have a monthly charge from apple for $4.99 and just got a charge on my checking for $47.99. I do I find out what either one is for? Can't seem to reach apple.

If you see apple.com/bill, itunes.com/bill, or an unfamiliar charge on your statement - Apple Support

If you still can't find out what made the charges,

Contact apple by the link in that article.
