ITunes Not Allowing Drag and Drop

Hello-

My iTunes (12.12) is no longer allowing me to drag and drop mp3 files into my library from my Windows laptop. This is how I’ve always transferred my music from computer to iTunes, and I don’t understand why it’s suddenly not working.

I also have an iPod Touch 2nd Generation, which is a much older model. iTunes now shows a pop up saying it “no longer recognizes” my iPod and won’t bring it up. I can no longer sync music with my iTunes library and iPod Touch as a result. Is iTunes no longer supporting these older versions of iPod Touches?
