Bootable media command not found

When making bootable media I get a 'command not found' after the createinstallmedia line - followed the instructions, tried it many ways. How can that be?

Once you downloaded the El Capitan .dmg file from Apple, did you double-click on the .dmg file to open it, then run the ".pkg" file inside it so that the El Capitan installer app is created and placed into the Applications folder?

Please make sure to carefully read the instructions in this Apple article regarding the El Capitan installer download:

Also, when posting the contents of the Terminal window, it is much better to paste the contents into the "Code Insertion" tool on the forum editing window which looks like "<>" since it is much easier to read and spaces are easier to discern which can be critical when deciphering possible typographical errors on the command line.

Yes, I followed the steps - downloaded El Captian (with is currently installed), plugged in a 15.6GB thumb drive and then pasted the associated command from the support page in the terminal:

sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/ABRAXANE --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app

ABRAXANE is the name of the drive. After prompted and entered password I get the following error:

sudo: /Applications/Install OS X El Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia: command not found

Thats mysterious to me since the createinstallmedia should be a standard command, right?
