Transferring files from Old Mac to new desktop computer

What's the easiest way to transfer files from an old zip drive (USB A) to a new zip drive (USB C)? I understand I can buy an adaptor. Is there a place I can pay to transfer the files from one zip drive to another so I don't need an adaptor?

Simple, please follow Setup Assistant and Migration Assistant. If you do not have a Time Machine backup of the old computer, then please create one. If you are not familiar with Time Machine please refer to Back up your Mac with Time Machine. You will need a high quality External Hard Disk, many experienced users on these forums prefer the OWC Mercury Elite Pro. Once you are done migrating, you can use the External Hard Disk to use as your Time Machine backup on the new computer.
