Probably would need to get an older version macOS.

According to compatibility, there may be Catalina, or

perhaps if you want to push your luck, Big Sur11..?

..january2897:

The 'active links' go to each of the items listed, at Apple download servers.

The cost to get those 'downloadable installers' is nothing. They take time

& attention to detail. And sometimes they fail to load, due to internet slow-

down or other details one may miss reading about.

You may also try a version of freeware 'office-like' LibreOffice.

The LibreOffice is an OK suite of good software, while not an Office clone.

Among different versions are older ones said to be more stable; or ones

that may be newer. On the other hand, if you do try for macOS upgrade:

Be sure: create backups, on external USB drives; w/ Mac's Time Machine.

Since a 'system upgrade' may have issues; better to enter into the idea

with a means to re-install; or get parts, to anything that could be lost.

LibreOffice can share files with and complete MS Office projects.

Good luck & safe travels! ☺︎
