So I got a new iPad recently, and it came with a new sim card with a new phone number. I don’t have any other devices with this phone number, and yet to add the phone number to the iPad, I have to verify it with the phone number. Is there any other way I can do this?

We understand you have some questions related to the activation of your cellular iPad. We're happy to work to clear up any confusion.
Mobile phone numbers are supplied by cellular carriers, not Apple. The activation of a new phone number would require an agreement with your cellular provider to make the necessary changes to your account to support this service. Once activated through them, phone calls and messages sent to that mobile number would be expected to deliver to your iPad going forward.
