Command Q couldn’t quit app in iPad?

I use the function a lot in my mac and i just received my magic keyboard for iPad today. I did the same thing and quit all apps but when i drag from the button on the screen, those apps are still there. Is this a bug?

Hi Es1022, thank you posting in Apple Support Communities.

Unlike the MacBook, some commands in the iPad may not respond in the same way and quitting apps is one of those. As such CMD Q does not quit the app but removes it from the App Switcher.

To quit the app you need to open the App Switcher and Swipe Up on the app and the following link explains this in more detail:

Hope this helps.
