Hi, I'm trying to update my safari browser or software but "software update" does not show up in my system preferences or in my app store. My laptop is a 2015 MacBook air.

How do I do this? ^

What macOS version are you running? You won't see Software Update in System Preferences unless you are running macOS 10.14 Mojave or later.

If you are running 10.13 High Sierra or earlier then you will need to go to the Mac App Store to update to the newest macOS version. See here: link-> How to upgrade to macOS Monterey - Apple Support
