Need graphics software for ipad

I am looking for graphics software for my iPad 6th generation. Software Version is 14.5.1

I use Paint.Net on my laptop and have used Gimp also. I am looking for a similar graphics/photo editor app for my iPad. I need something that has layers so I can combine graphics, resize, and all the other basic editing tools.

I have used Photo Editor, Splice, Snapseed, Print to Size, Pic Stitch, Photo Shop Fix and Canva. None of them can do what I need. I would appreciate suggestions, especially for freebies. Thank you.

There is Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for iOS/iPadOS.

But these all have of a monthly subscription fee to use regularly.

For maximum features and for a one-time fee payment.

Look at

Affinity Photo

Pixelmator

ArtStudio Pro

Procreate

These are THE most feature rich, all around apps for any type of digital graphics/image editing/sketching/drawing/painting apps.

For vector-based graphics apps with a one-time payment fee

Look at

Affinity Designer

Vectornator

I no longer make ANY recommendations here, any longer ( gotten burned here too many times by other random Posters/Users who got angry about recommendations I have made for ANYTHING Apple product/software related.

Everyone is different and their hardware/software needs are all different in some areas/fashion.

You will need to review the features of all these apps for yourself and make your own informed determination.

Good Luck to You!

The top 4, I mentioned in my last reply will ALL do everything you seek.

It just comes down to sheer plethora of features that each of these apps has and which ones will be more, or less, useful to you.

Affinity Photo, Procreate and Art Studio Pro have a ton of features.

ANY type of design/graphics software you decide upon is going to have a learnng curve.

Serif Labs, which make Affinity Photo and Designer for iOS/iPadOS, macOS and Windows has a great Website and both online and priint book/manual support.

Also, Serif Labs and all their Affinty apps and video tutorials can be found on YouTube.

Procreate has an excellent online website and downloadable Book manual to download to your iPad.

Art Studio Pro has an user Interface that is VERY Adobe Photoshop-like.

So, IF you are familiar, at all, with Adobe Photoshop, ArtStudio Pro will be very familiar.

Lucky Clan that has developed by ArtStudio Pro for iOS/iPadOS/macOS has a Website area for full support, tutorials and user support here.

Pixelmator for iOS support can be found here, as well.

Wow! Thank you so much for all of the information. I have never used Adobe Photoshop or any of the Adobe graphics software. I have just used free software: Paint.net, Gimp and a little Inkscape. So I am sure that there will be a learning curve. I work with layers, and all kinds of tools to clean up graphics, combine graphics, etc. and to do some picture editing. It has been frustrating to download apps onto my iPad only to find out they cannot resize, combine graphics, etc. So at this point I don’t mind spending a bit on an app if it includes the tools that I need.

Now, with the information you so graciously provided, I can check these out and know that they have tutorials to help with the learning curve.

Much gratefulness to you for the information.
