If you failed with apple support after 2 weeks. I recommend scheduling a visit to the apple store. I don't have much information to go off of but all i can tell from this is after 2 weeks you have tried everything with no luck.

Are you sure you were in Safe Mode?... "On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window." [Source: Apple]

Dumb questions first. Did you check if you Mac is compatible? How long has it been stuck? Are you the admin? Have you tried force shutting down and restarting and mostly, did you backup before you started?
Hi yes to everything.
I have had this problem for a week.
Thanks!
I'll try. Thanks!
Best of luck to you I really don't like to see that happen to anyone
Same here, on Catalina.
Typing "softwareupdate -l" in Terminal leads to a "Finding available software" message but no response.
Thanks very much, Alancito! That works. :-)
Thank you!
But is not working for me.
After restarting in safe mode the panel is the same :-(
Hi, now it worked on the second try! :-)
Thanks again!!
