no camera connected

my zoom stopped allowing my image, claiming no camera detected. No apps requiring camera show that there is an available camera. I have updated software.

Does system Info recognize the hardware?


>(Option key) System Information>Hardware>Camera if not you have a hardware issue.




See if you need to add the app to the >System Preferences>Security&Privacy




If software you can try on the Intel Mac:


—resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295


—resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)
