I recently got a new iPhone 13. I gave my old iPhone 11 to my son (wiped clean first). For some reason he is now showing up as the family organizer in our family sharing and as a member. (Even though he is lidded in under his own account). It’s as if the Family Organizer is tied to the phone and not the account. What is going on and how do I fix it?

Then you remove the old iPhone 11 from your account, see this Apple article: Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

After that let your son sign in with his Apple ID into the iPhone 11.
