I can’t update my iOS version

Go to Settings > General > About > Version

If it shows iOS 12.5.5 that is as high as you can update, the iPhone 6 does not have sufficient RAM to run iOS 13 or later and you cannot add RAM

The iPhone 6 can be updated to iOS 12.5.5, no further.

If this is not the issue, post back with relevant information.
