How do then move all the data from iCloud back to your phone

I have a new phone I want to move all my pictures on iCloud to this phone

You need to sign your new iPhone into your iCloud account. This usually happens when you start up the iPhone for the first time and you are asked for your account credentials.


If your photos are not downloaded to your phone then Photos is not signed in to your iCloud photos. Follow the instructions to connect the Photos app to your account and the collection on iCloud.


Set up and use iCloud Photos On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap iCloud.
  3. Tap Photos, then turn on iCloud Photos.
