Unable to save emails in sidebar folder

I no longer able to save emails in my inbox folder to another folder in the sidebar.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

old issue, new issue, what changed?

Did you try quitting mail and relaunching?

did you try rebooting?

Problem accounts—remove the account and add it back in to resolve anomalies...

Note—

• IMAP accounts stay on the server, so no local loss, when you re-sync

• POP accounts download and remove from the server—therefor save your inbox/sent box if you want them

• "On My Mac" is just that, local folders you created and moved mail into. So no loss
