Double click on file opens default program, but not file.

Hey, really odd situation here that I can't seem to remedy.

When I double click on a file, it will open the program but not the actual file. This is the case with my logitech mouse and trackpad on my MBP 16".

I've tried disconnecting the bluetooth mouse, as well as adjusting the double click speed. Nothing

The double click is being registered, however it only opens the default program. For example if I double click on an a jpeg file, it will open Preview but not the actual file. If I double click a second time on the file it will open the file since the default program is already open.

Anyone ever experience this?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.0

Not really. If you haven't done so already you should update Monterey to 12.2.
