app store app crashing

Have the notification that two of my apps have 'updates' available, but when I launch the app store (MBP 16 2019, mac os Monterey 12.1) it immediately crashes. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

 TomB01,

Thanks for the screenshot. We'd still want to check the date and time or see if this might be a connection issue just to rule this out.

Still not working? Let's try these steps:

  1. How to use safe mode on your Mac - Let's start in safe mode to see if the App Store will load. If it does, you'd want to continue on with seeing if there might be a login item that might be causing this issue.
  2. If this is still happening in safe mode, use this guide: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. We'd want to create a test user account to see if you're able to use the App Store on your Mac.

Keep us posted on the results.

Hey there,TomB01!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! We understand that you've been unable to update some of the apps you have from the App Store on your Mac.

Here's a suggestion to help you narrow down why this might be happening: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services. You'd want to follow each section including checking the date and time or even trying a different internet connection. If it doesn't help, then use the link included to contact Apple Support.

Take care!
