I have a iPod touch 4th gen running ios 6.1.6. When ever I try to download a app like apple podcast and try to get the last compatible nothing shows up all it says is that it need ios 10.0 or later. And it dose not give me the option for last compatible version. I want to get a few apps like apple podcast and apple books. If anyone can help that would be great.

The option to download an older version of an application will only be available if you've previously downloaded it and the developer has left one there. If you can't use it, you need an iPhone 5, iPad 4, sixth generation iPod touch, or any newer unit to get that application.
