Before I upgraded my ios 15.3.1 my iphone 12pro battery health was 95%. When I updated mandatory ios upgrade to ios 5.3.1 my battery health showed drop by 6 % and it was showing 89%. Apart from that discharge also happened quite rapidly. Please guide on this

Thank you for response. But that did not showed up as soon as I updated. It was showing after few days of upgrading ios. Also, I bought the phone in Dec 2020 and avoid charging frequently unless required. Is it then the usual behaviour for battery?
All batteries deplete with time and usage - I'm sure you have other battery driven devices that do not cause such concern. Yours is not unusual for a 1.5. year old battery. There is nothing anyone can do to reenergize a battery. Enjoy your phone and have Apple replace the battery when battery health drops to 80%.
A battery with a health reading of 89% after a little over a year isn’t bad, it’s actually on track to last for around two years. Lithium-Ion batteries chemically age, this is normal for LiIon batteries and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I don’t see anything out of the ordinary in your case.
More likely the iOS recalculated it.
The Health is an estimate of the maximum charge compared with a new battery. It cannot drop that quickly but the estimate can be recalculated.
Thank you to share this. But I have all these battery saving feature enabled. And rate at which battery health has dropped not even within 1.5 yrs of purchase. Its quite worrying.
