Hourly Stand Failure

My Series 6 Apple Watch usually counts the hourly stands correctly but sometimes it misses and I discover too late that l have been shorted Stands. What causes these lapses when I know I have done active stand minutes each hour?

All I can suggest is that you make sure you move as well as stand for a continuous minute during the hour. And be sure to check that you got credit before the hour is up. Also make sure your watch fits comfortably snug. Other than that, the first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
