With all of these new updates post Apple Music, I no longer see my iPhone appear as a device in iTunes/Music, so I cannot find where to transfer my music onto my phone.

Thanks! After posting this question, I ejected the phone, did another restart of the Music app, and plugged the phone back in. The phone showed up on the lefthand side as it used to this time. I suspect that something was slowing the system down while iPhoto was importing from the phone, and the device just wasn't showing up as it was supposed to.
