What is the best way to buy a new phone? Go to a store or online? Does anyone know if I need an appointment to buy a phone or can I just walk in?

I prefer to buy in person.

Whether you need an appointment to buy depends on the protocols in place at your local store.

Call them and ask if that's your choice.
