Disk Utility - Mac HD is no where to be found

I'm trying to reinstall MacOS and the setup is not finding hard drive. The disk utility was used to erase HD but It did not recreate a new MAC HD for reinstall of MacOS. Is there a work around to create a new HD volume so that a fresh install of MacOS could be completed?

Thank you,

Hi,

Boot into Recovery again > Disk Utility > select top item in list at left (should be Apple SSD or something like that) > click on Erase and choose APFS and GUID if it gives you the option.
