OS Upgrade for 10 Year Old iMac

We need to know the exact model year of the iMac to tell you what version of Mac OS is the latest it will run. If you are unsure, please click the in the upper left of the display and then click About this Mac and it will tell you.

Old computers have hardware limitations so your best bet may be to buy a more up-to-date Mac. You have LOTS of options including brand new 24" or a Mac Mini or Apple Refurbished Macs or even buying used from a reputable reseller.

10.11.X is as far as it will go. Please remember a 2008 is not 10 years old, it is closer to 15 years old. IMHO please replace the relic, it's time!
