Annoying side arrow in safari

How do I get rid of the grey side arrow in the middle of my safari page? I don’t want this to appear and can’t seem to find out where to turn this off.

iPad mini 6, iPadOS 15

I turned off some settings in safari and the left side Grey arrow in the middle of the left side of the page has disappeared so I guess I turned off the correct setting. It may have something to do with tabs, but I’m not positive. I wish I would have taken a picture, but since I didn’t and it’s gone I think this might not be issue now. If I comes back, I will take a screen shot. Thanks for your response.

You need to explore multitasking - as you have a slide-out view of an App enabled. Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of the screen.
