Apple TV app

I have tried several things (fixes) but I still can’t sign in to Apple TV on my new Amazon fire cube. I’ve updated, uninstalled the app, restarted the cube, restarted the modem and reinstalled the app with no luck. Is there anything else to try before I send the cube back to Amazon?

To sign in, find the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon), and enter your Apple ID and password there.

What happens when you try that? Do you get a message? What does it say?
