It says I need a up date but I can’t update it because it does not show up

It says I need a update to download more games. But when I go to settings to update it. It does have a update?

The iPad Air (1st generation) cannot update past iOS 12.5.5.

The iPad hardware is not compatible for newer iOS version.

If you want to update further, you need a newer iPad model.
