Hi, I am puzzled. My dad gets no sound alert for text messages from me (only). He gets sounds from everyone else. I checked Sounds & Haptics, my specific contact settings in his iPhone 11. He doesn’t have either silent mode or do not disturb on. I have an iPhone 12. We had no previous issues - this is recent. Anybody have pearls of wisdom to share?

Tell him to open your message thread - click your name at the very top - click the blue i and make sure hide alerts isn't enabled.

Tell him to open your message thread - click your name at the very top - click the blue i and make sure hide alerts isn't enabled.
When I send a text to my husband it does not alert him to a message, but everyone else's text has an alert.
