Apple ID inactive

I logged in to my MacBook Pro by creating apple id through my personal gmail address and was able to logged in to Apple store and update/ download applications. Second day when i switched on my computer there is an error message in the system preferences to update Apple ID setting. When i try to update system asking password and once I enter the PW there is an error message saying my Apple ID is inactive. Could not logged in or change the password since continuously receiving error message saying my apple ID is inactive.
