Part of a purchased album won't play

I recently purchased an album via the iTunes store (which was only released in the last year). I only have 3 devices linked to my iTunes on my windows laptop. The full album plays without problem on my iPhone, but within iTunes on my laptop several of the songs will no longer play (they did to start with). For some it repeatedly asks me to authorise the device (then tells me it has already been authorised) but others it just won't play at all and it gets stuck in a loop of trying.

Much like another user, I followed an old thread telling me to delete them and re-download, but this doesn't work either. I can now see the album in my purchased section, but there is no option to download. I now have an album which I have paid for, but cannot put onto any playlists via iTunes because it is inly available on my phone. Please help!

This is my usual response to the initial problem:

Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Backup and then delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.

If that hasn't helped see If iTunes for Windows prompts you to authorize your computer when you try to play purchases - Apple Support.

You may be able to connect your phone and Transfer iTunes Store purchases to your PC - Apple Support. Otherwise see Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support and unhide the tracks so you can then Redownload music - Apple Support.
