Transferring sim cards

My daughter is donating her iphone11 to me but she is on an EE contract and I am currently on O2 (withiphoneSE). It seems that iPhones with EE are automatically unlocked after 6 months and my daughters phone is 2years old. Does that mean I can just transfer my SIM card to her phone now she has reset it?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Only one way to find out now that it has been reset, which is put your sim in it and see if you can set it up. It will not activate on O2 if it is still locked to EE.

She could have checked in Settings, General, about and look at the Network Provider Lock status, but not now.
