can an older version of pages be installed on an iMac using 10.13

Launch the Mac App Store and sign in with the same Apple ID that you used to install Pages previously. Press the option key and select the Purchases tab. You should see Pages with an install/update button. Click that. Expect a couple of dialog panels: 1) you need a newer version of macOS to install Pages -- Accept it, and 2) it will offer to install the last compatible version of Pages for High Sierra — Accept it. You will then find Pages v8.1 in your /Applications folder.
