The problem is turning it off. Having changed Apple ID on other devices can’t change this one as still stuck with old Apple ID and can’t get it changed because find my mac can’t be switched off until Apple ID changed.
I don't have any experience or advice beyond what it says in that link, so hopefully someone else chimes in or you get a reply to your duplicate post in the MacBook Pro forum.
