I Can't update to macOS Monterey. my system is stuck at finding update...

Is your system compatible with Monterey? If the answer is yes, you can try restarting the mac, Booting in safe mode, or go to the apple site where you can download the older versions of macOS. Tick monterey, it will take you to the app store page where you can download monterey (again, only if your mac supports monterey)

What model and year Mac?

How long have you been trying?

Have you tried restarting the Mac?


Open the Terminal app and enter the command

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 12.3.1

and hit Return key. What is returned?

It should start download the current Monterey version, 12.3.1. It will be in your Applications folder. Terminal will give progress of the download.
