Perhaps if you explained the situation in more detail, additional troubleshooting may commence?

A few resets could help, you might need to reset the SMC (System Management Controller).

&/or NVRAM reset ~ re-start Mac with 4- keys-held, and let them go at an appropriate time.

(These for use with Intel-based Macs; not M1 Apple silicon.)

Among other ideas, where camera and FaceTime are an issue:

"Learn what to do if FaceTime isn't working, your built-in camera isn't working, or you can't sign in to FaceTime."

Start with this if IntelMac...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
