MacBook 2013 wont recognize trackpad or usb mouse click

The trackpad on the MacBook Air recognizes touch and will move cursor. The trackpad clicks when pressed, but the computer doesn’t recognize the click. I plugged a USB mouse in, and had the same exact issue. Everything worked fine one day. There have been no issues leading up to this. The next morning, no clickability.

I have tried resetting the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM. Nothing changed.

Try the following:

Update macOS.

Try Safe Mode.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac.

If that does not help, then get expert service and support at the Genius Bar.
