Apple Watch won't pair with new iPhone.

I have a an Apple Watch that was set up and I had accidentally set it up to my work phone and work Apple ID. I left my job 2 weeks ago and have just now realized when I went to pair it with my new phone. I can't turn off the activation lock as I no-longer have the iPhone as it was a work phone. It asking for me to log into my work Apple ID but I don't know the password. Please tell me there is a different way to resolve this :D

You can ask apple to remove the activation lock online on this page;

Remove the Activation Lock Here.

Or this;

If you can't remember/gain access to the apple id that paired the watch to the phone.Take the watch and it's receipt with the serial number along with some photo id and any other proof of ownership to an Apple Store and request that they remove the Activation Lock for you.
